Why Are Indian Startups Moving To Singapore ?

Over 8000 Indian companies have set up their base of headquarters in Singapore in the last decade. Singapore is also known as the “Silicon Valley of Asia” as it boasts a huge plethora of tech startups and VC firms. The Singaporean Govt offers an excellent support for entrepreneurs.

However, that’s not the only reason why Indian startups are moving there.

One major factor why Indian startups are moving to the Asian Tiger is because of the stringent and inflexible bureaucracy of the Indian Govt. The hostile and unsupportive system is one major reason behind such exodus.

The high corporate taxes acts as another turn off for the Indian startups. Singapore has a low tax rate coupled with the benefit of no capital gains tax and double tax treaty with a huge network of countries.

Besides, Singapore offers a high quality of living for its residents which is too poor or rather bad in India.
